Mikey’s Friends Foundation was formed on January 3rd 2013 by the friends and family of Michael Patrick Boettcher III. Mikey was born on December 2nd 2011 with a heart condition known as Hypo-Plastic Left Heart Syndrome. He had open heart surgery when he was two days old. The doctors and nurses at Johns Hopkins Hospital worked tirelessly to save Mikey but after 11 days and multiple surgeries he had fought all he could. The people who loved him were crushed but decided to do what they could to help other children in similar situations.

In 2012 those who loved Mikey formed Team Mikey III and raised over $5000 for the March for Babies event in Baltimore. After the great success of the various fundraising events the members of Team Mikey III decided to start their own foundation in his memory. Mikey’s Friends Foundation was started with the desire to support deserving charitable causes. We hope you will join us at our next event.

Please feel free connect with us on facebook to learn more about our foundation, upcoming events, and more. You can also email us at info@mikeysfriends.org, or send us a good old-fashioned letter at 351 Upperlanding Road Baltimore, MD 21221.
